Zoey Luna, a trans teen from California, has been cast in the remake of cult film The Craft, playing one of four young women in the film's coven, alongside Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone and Cailee Spaeny.

The original 1996 film featured Neve Campbell and Robin Tunney as teen misfits who turn to witchcraft and the reboot is billed as a modern take on the tale. Luna, a trans activist, has been the subject of documentaries including the HBO short film 15: A Quinceañera Story, which followed the preparations for her coming of age 15th birthday party, and she’s also featured in Ryan Murphy's award-winning series Pose.
